Ashborne is an upcoming for-profit zine centered around the life of Arlecchino, the Fourth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Set within the Genshin Impact canonverse, this zine will explore her stages of life; from childhood and adolescence to adulthood and present timeline.All the characters featured in the zine belong to HoYoverse’s role-playing game titled “Genshin Impact”. Ashborne is an unofficial and fanmade project with no direct affiliation with Genshin Impact and HoYoverse nor does the game and company endorse the project in any way.

A fanzine is a fanbook that features collaborative works from various artists and writers.✦ What is the theme of the zine?
The main theme of Ashborne centers on the life of Arlecchino, the Fourth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Set within the Genshin Impact canon and alternate universe (AU), the project explores the different stages of her life:
🩸 Childhood — Her life as an orphan and her bond with Clervie
🩸 Adolescence — The death of Clervie, her conflict with Crucabena, and her promotion to Fatui Harbinger
🩸 Adulthood — Her life as a Harbinger and Head of the House of the Hearth, carrying out her duties within the Fatui

Yes. Based on the Interest Check results, we have decided to include AUs in the zine. However, all submissions will be carefully reviewed, and final selections will be made during the pitching stage.✦ Will the zine include NSFW?
No, this zine is strictly safe for work (SFW).✦ How many contributors will you be accepting?
We aim to accept approximately 30–35 contributors, including guests.✦ Is this zine for profit or for charity?
This is a for-profit zine intended to compensate contributors for their work.✦ How will the profit be shared?
The profits of the zine will be split equally among all Contributors and Moderators, with each person receiving the same amount.✦ Will contributors receive a full bundle?
Contributors are guaranteed a digital PDF of the zine. We aim to provide all contributors with a full physical bundle; however, if profits are limited, only the digital PDF will be provided. If the zine performs well, contributors may receive a full physical bundle free of charge.✦ What platform is used for communication between moderators & contributors?
This project will use a Discord server as the main communication platform. All check-ins and interactions with moderators should take place within the server.✦ Is there an age limit to apply as a contributor?
Yes, there is. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older, without exception.✦ Do I need to have a Genshin Impact fanart sample to apply?
No, it is not required. However, we strongly encourage applicants to include at least one Arlecchino piece or one Genshin Impact fanart sample in their portfolio.✦ Is traditional art allowed?
Yes! Traditional artwork is absolutely welcome. Please make sure it is scanned in high quality for submission.✦ Can I include other Genshin Impact character(s) in my piece?
Yes! You may include other characters, but Arlecchino must remain the main focus of your piece.✦ Can I include ship(s) in my piece?
To keep the focus on Arlecchino, we will not be accepting pitches centered on romantic ships.✦ Can I submit an old artwork?
No, previously created artwork is not allowed. All submitted pieces must be entirely new and unpublished.✦ Am I allowed to share my piece’s work-in-progress (WIP) online?
No, all works-in-progress (WIP) must remain private until the project is completed.✦ When can I publish or post my zine piece online?
Contributors may share their zine pieces online only during the leftovers phase.
